Der Hauptsitz des Labels befand sich von 1993 bis 2003 in Neckargemünd bei Heidelberg und zwischen 2004 und 2017 in Mannheim. Zwischen 1995 und 2003 hatte das Label auch Büros in New York (Plastic City America) und London (Plastic City UK), die regelmäßige eigenständige Singles und Alben veröffentlichten. Seit Herbst 2017 sitzt das Label in Berlin, wobei auch weiterhin eine Dependance in Mannheim unterhalten wird. Neben dem Hauptlabel Plastic City werden auch regelmäßig auf den zwei Sublabes Plastic City Suburbia und Plastic City FX Alben, EPs und Singles veröffentlicht. Während auf Plastic City Suburbia eher Titel nicht nur für Clubs zu finden sind, werden auf Plastic City FX sehr clubige Deep House Titel veröffentlicht.
