Zornheym

Zornheym was founded as an ambitious vision by its creator, Zorn, with the goal of realizing his interpretation of the ultimate concept band – a complete fusion of music, narrative, and visual storytelling.

Zornheym is a Swedish symphonic metal band blending cinematic orchestration with a powerful heavy metal backbone and strong influences from melodic death metal, all driven by a distinct sense for epic, memorable melodies. Their sound moves seamlessly between grand symphonic landscapes and relentless metal intensity, creating a sonic identity that is both theatrical and emotionally charged.

As a conceptual entity, every Zornheym album unfolds within the walls of the mental asylum Zornheim – a place shrouded in mystery, madness, and darkness. Each release explores different eras of its sinister history, yet never strays beyond its boundaries. The asylum itself becomes the central character, with its stories told through layered narratives, recurring themes, and hidden connections.

Zornheym is more than just a band – it is an expanding universe. The world of Zornheim is brought to life not only through music, but also through graphic novels, with the first full-length book soon to be released. Their music videos take the form of short films, visually portraying the asylum and its inhabitants, further immersing the audience in the lore.

On stage, Zornheym transforms into a theatrical experience led by frontman Bendler, whose commanding presence draws the audience deep into the asylum’s grip. On special occasions, actors join the performance, elevating the show into something beyond a traditional concert – a dark and immersive spectacle.

Zornheym has performed at several major European festivals, including Motorcultor Festival, Skogsröjet, MiSa Open Air, and Månegarm Open Air, steadily building a reputation as a band that delivers both musically and visually on a grand scale.
