Begat The Nephilim is an American blackened melodic death metal band based out of Southern New Hampshire that has a sound comparable to acts such as The Black Dahlia Murder, Behemoth, Cattle Cecapitation and Fleshgod Apocalypse. Since the band’s inception in August 2012 Begat The Nephilim have shared the stage with high profile acts such as Soulfly, Suicide Silence, Napalm Death, Suffocation, Dying Fetus, Morbid Angel, Job for a Cowboy, Dillinger Escape Plan and many more as well as participating in tours/festivals across the US such as Summer Slaughter and the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival.
Through the band’s intensity, hardworking approach and growing profile, Begat The Nephilim attracted the attention of New York based worldwide management company Extreme Management Group (EMG) and joined their massive roster in 2015. When asked about joining the roster of EMG, Begat The Nephilim responded: “We are very excited to be working with Extreme Management Group. It is beyond anything we could have ever imagined, to have such a great group of people to work with and help us share our passion for music and playing live for a worldwide audience. We stand behind EMG 100% and cannot wait to see what is in store for the future.”
Following on from signing with EMG, Begat The Nephilim were soon picked up by Unholy Anarchy Records who released the band’s debut full length album. Discussing the concept behind the album the band offers: “The album tells the tale of the Mother of Blasphemy, an ancient godlike Nephilim, and her rise to power and the resulting consequences facing mankind and the world’.
In 2021 Begat The Nephilim signed with Germany based international record label Noble Demon which was founded by former Nuclear Blast representative Patrick Walch. The band have been hard at work on its next album ‘II: The Grand Procession” due for release late 2021 and recorded with Joe Cincotta at Full Force Studio, New York, USA (Suffocation, Obituary, Internal Bleeding) mixed by Chris Themelco at Monolith Studios in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (Orpheus Omega, In Malices Wake, Harlot) and mastered by Thomas “Plec” Johansson at Panic Room Studios in Skövde, Sweden(Dark Tranquility, Soilwork, In Flames).
