Founded in Kuopio in 2020, the Finnish melodic death metal band Swansong was formed by former Up Yours Punk singer Jemiina and Verjnuarmu guitarist Topi Pitkänen. Together they have created a unique blend of melodic death, heavy and folk metal that offers something new to the metal scene. Their powerful melodies, combined with hard-hitting riffs, are reminiscent of the 80s and 90s and add a fresh touch with deep and high female death growls and screams.
