It’s official: “Heiko’s World“, Dominik Galizia‘s comedy with melancholic undertones about Berlin cult cat Heiko from the YouTube series of the same name, is coming to cinemas Germany-wide just in time for Father’s Day on 26 May 2022!

The loopy, endearing ode to – and odyssey through – Berlin’s corner pubs with their very own fauna of original characters launches, where else, on the UCM.ONE label Darling Berlin.

According to the director Dominik Galizia, “something bigger” was needed: “a feature film that would turn Heiko’s charming world with all its colourful facets into a big picture.”

After the 2021 premiere at the Munich Film Festival – where Martin Rohde, who embodies Heiko, was awarded the Förderpreis Neues Deutsches Kino for his acting performance – and celebrated screenings at the achtung berlin Filmfestival 2021 and FILMZ Mainz, Heiko’s World is now coming to the big screens of Germany on Father’s Day and will make many fan hearts sing.
