The Cybordelics classic “Adventures of Dama” has been reinterpreted in recent years by many well-known artists such as Butch, Robert Babicz and even Ricardo Villalobos – just to name a few. “Adventures of Dama” has never lost popularity since its first release over two decades ago and due to the legendary original on Harthouse Frankfurt. Therefore, the Harthouse team (now based in Berlin) decided to continue the “musical journey” of “Adventures of Dama” with four more new remixes.
Two years ago, Gerd Janson and Phillip Lauer aka Tuff City Kids contributed an ambient remix. Two years later – to our delight – the two gentlemen have reassembled themselves. The result is an energetic reinterpretation that catapults “Adventures of Dama” into the present in the best Tuff City Kids fashion.
Another – no … other remixes were contributed by Ingo Boss. Ingo Boss, an artist who really does not need any introduction. Thanks to his impressive reputation as a producer as well as a DJ, his “Hessen Rave Remix” as well as the “Omnibot Remix” have created two very diverse interpretations, all based on impressive sound aesthetics and hypnotic influences and emphasize the skills of Ingo Boss once again clearly.
Finally, Mario Hammer completes the digital EP with a version that refrains from any percussion and rather places its main focus on the so significant and powerful melody. The remix captivates with the fact that “less” seems convincingly “more”.
A big thank you to all the artists who have put their stamp on the original. Let’s go on another “Adventure” together.
