The feature film “Notes of Berlin” by director Mariejosephin Schneider was awarded three “beavers” at its German premiere at the 42nd Biberach Film Festival, namely the Debut Beaver as Best Debut Film, the Audience Beaver of the audience jury and the Student Beaver of the student jury. It is the first time in the festival’s history that a film has been awarded in three categories at once.
“Notes of Berlin” will be released nationwide on January 14th, 2021 on the film label Darling Berlin, distributed by UCM.ONE.
The episodic film tells fourteen funny, sad and bizarre stories from 24 hours in the life of the capital. The episodes are linked by the posters, which are so typical for the Berlin cityscape and reflect the pure everyday culture of the city. These posters have been collected by Joab Nist since 2010 on his blog notesofberlin.com and have become known far beyond the city limits.
