In memory of the German actress Hannelore Elsner, who died on Easter Sunday in 2019, several cinemas will screened from this weekend the classic movie by Will Tremper “The Endless Night” (Darling Berlin). The award-winning film from 1963 is considered as one of Hannelore Elsner’s favorite films and is also one of her first major film roles. The story tells a night at the Berlin Tempelhof Airport, where passengers are stranded due to fog.
The prelude of the German screenings makes on Sunday the 2.6. the Lodderbast in Hanover, followed by the Koki Freiburg on the 6th and 10th of June. The Berlin City Kino Wedding also shows “The endless Night” (German title: Die endlose Nacht“) at Pentecost on June 9th and one week later on Sunday the 16th of June. The Mon Ami cinema in Weimar takes memories of Hannelore Elsner on the 20th and 23rd of June, the Caligari Wiesbaden closes at the end of August, on 28.8. the screenings.
