Following the takeover of the channel group CiNENET by the company daredo, UCM.ONE now operates on platforms such as YouTube and Dailymotion over 15 film channels with currently more than 2,000 films and series as well as 300 documentaries in German and English. In addition to the two main channels for films in German and English, there are special sections for series and children’s films, genre channels for horror, sci-fi, western and art house as well as documentation channels filled with biographies, travel guides and historical topics.

Together, the films released there (and monetised via the AVoD) have already achieved well over 25,000,000 views and brought the channels over 100,000 subscribers. Occasionally, movies published on other channels (such as Darling Berlin) are also supported by CiNENET through placements and insertion into playlists to allow for greater coverage of the movie in question.

More Information

The marketing form AVoD (advertised-video-on-demand), which is the basis for marketing at CiNENET, is in addition to DTO (download-to-own), TVoD (transactional-video-on-demand) and SVoD (subscription-video -on-demand)  the fourth common form of digital film distribution. The revenue is generated by advertising that is displayed in the environment of the films. AVoD marketing has been an economically growing market for years, as consumers are supposed to see the films “free” (as with private TV broadcasters), but in reality pay with their time by watching commercials.
