UCM.ONE is releasing the new The Asylum film “The Devil’s Triangle – The Secret of Atlantis” (German title: “The Devil’s Triangle – Das Geheimnis von Atlantis“) with cult action star Fred Williamson (“M.A.S.H“, “From Dusk till Dawn“, “The Riffs“, “Delta Force Commando 1 & 2“, “Streetfighters“) in the role of the mysterious Atlantis inhabitant “Pluto” on the film label U1 Films Berlin.

Director Brendan Petrizzo‘s film stars Fred Williamson, Diana Prince, Morgan Bradley, Alyson Gorske and Liam Hawley, among others.

Synopsis

A commercial airliner crashes in the middle of the notorious Bermuda Triangle during the night in heavy turbulence. The survivors, including the marine biologist couple Vera (Morgan Bradley) and Del Collins (Liam Hawley), are able to save themselves on an island whose warlike inhabitants claim to be “Atlanteans”, members of the legendary sunken city of Atlantis.

A deep-sea submarine takes them to Atlantis, a city hidden under a dome deep at the bottom of the sea and guarded by a giant three-headed sea monster.

However, the initial enthusiasm of the scientists for the amazing technical achievements that exist there lasts only for a short time. For the Atlanteans want to completely destroy humanity, which has destroyed the seas and thus the environment of their homeland for centuries. With the help of the ex-soldier Pluto (Fred Williamson), who is also “stranded” in Atlantis, the two now do everything they can to prevent this…

The Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle, also called the Devil’s Triangle, is a sea area in the Atlantic Ocean. It is located north of the Caribbean Sea, roughly between South Florida, Puerto Rico and Bermuda. This area got its mysterious reputation as a result of several shipping and aircraft disasters that actually or allegedly took place there. Some of the incidents, in which ships, aircraft or their crews are said to have disappeared without a trace, could not be completely cleared up and inspired various authors to write numerous literary works and to make many films.

The myth of the Bermuda Triangle has always been a guarantee for exciting and thrilling adventure films, e.g. “Bermuda Triangle – Gateway to Another Time“, “Lost Voyage“, “Escape from Atlantis“, “Airport 77 – Lost in the Bermuda Triangle“, “Triangle – Fear Comes in Waves“. What makes this film interesting is not only the still unsolved events that are repeatedly attributed to this area of the sea, but also the connection with the ancient Atlantis myth.
