The documentary “Searching Eva” by Pia Hellenthal wins the Special Mention Award in the competition of the CPH:DOX Festival in Copenhagen. The jury’s reasoning praised “the innovative approach to an artist’s profile. The film language corresponds to a high degree to the facets of a character who is constantly searching for alternative approaches for everything and thereby breaks away from common points of reference and ideas of stability. And so the film, which assumes its own playful ethos, never falls into expectations of how this story or this life should be told. Above all, it is a film that takes risks, on the screen and behind the camera. We thought it was both praiseworthy and convincing.”
