“I want people to see this film” said the acting icon Hannelore Elsner, who died on Easter Sunday 2019, about “The Endless Night” (Darling Berlin) by Will Tremper, one of her favourite films. Her role of starlet Sylvia Stössi is her first big leading role. The 1963 movie tells the story of a night at Berlin’s Tempelhof Airport. Several passengers are stranded because of fog and have to kill their time in the airport hall.

UCM.ONE now brings “The Endless Night” (Original German title: “Die endlose Nacht“) back to the cinema exactly 56 years after its world premiere (starting date 8.5.1963). The film, which has received numerous awards (several German Film Awards in Gold and Silver 1963), is available in a digitally restored version as DCP and Blu-Ray from our cinema distributor for performances.
