Description
The athletic Gita (Leni Riefenstahl), a natural talent in mountaineering, climbs barefoot and free-handed away from her admirer Toni (Luis Trenker) when they go on a mountain excursion together. She waits for him on a rocky spur and showers him with ridicule when he has finally climbed the rock. The hypochondriac Berlin millionaire heir Michael Treuherz (Hans Schneeberger) visits the mountains at the same time as his servant to recover from his stressful city life. His doctor has prescribed “climbing and a bit of marriage”. Ambitious but clumsy, he practises mountaineering and climbing. He also meets Gita, who teaches him how to ski. Treuherz eventually takes part in a ski race, for which Gita offers herself as the prize.
