At the 19th Achtung Berlin Film Festival 2023, the film “Monolith” by Julius Schultheiß, produced by Finderlohnfilm and co-produced by UCMP, was awarded Best Feature Film. The film, distributed by UCM.ONE on the Darling Berlin label, is a quiet and very hauntingly told drama about an undercover investigator whose existence and faith are at stake, the jury announced. Director Julius Schultheiß had already won the Achtung Berlin Festival prize for best feature film in 2016 for the family drama “Lotte” (also released on the Darling Berlin label).

The award for Best Screenplay went to Janin Halisch and Hannah Sioda for the film “Sprich mit mir” (English title: “Speak to Me” (director: Janin Halisch), which, like “Monolith” on the ‘Darling Berlin film label, will be released in cinemas in early 2024 via UCM.ONE.

The award for Best Acting donated by Darling Berlin went to the ensemble of “Vamos A La Playa” (director: Bettina Blümer) and actress Milena Dreißig for her role in the film “Alaska” by Max Gleschinski (known for “Kahlschlag“, label: Artkeim²).
