The film “Schwarzwaldfahrt aus Liebeskummer” by Werner Jacobs is now available for the first time on the label U8 Films Berlin by UCM.ONE in cooperation with moviemax in the newly 2K scanned and restored theatrical version in full HD as a Mediabook. A special highlight of this limited release is that for the first time the soundtrack is included on CD. This will not appear individually, but refines this exclusive edition. The film was completely tailored to the hit star and leading actor Roy Black. It was obligatory that he sang his hits there in addition to the music of James Last, who was responsible for the soundtrack.
Roy Black grew up in Augsburg as the son of a merchant and began studying business after graduating from high school, but did not complete his studies. Instead, he tried his luck with music and had his first performances with his rock’n’roll bands “The Honky Tonks” and later “Roy Black and his Cannons“. The stage name Roy Black is a mixture of his nickname “Blacky“, which he got because of his black hair, and an homage to his idol Roy Orbison.
Synopsis:
The young architect Hannes Cremer wants to forget his professional stress on the Black Forest farm of his grandfather. He has just quit his job and also given his fiancée Janine, the daughter of his boss, the slip. However, the intended rest comes to nothing, because not only his employer and his fiancée are after him, but he also meets the ‘four-leaf clover’, a quartet of ladies on their way to a wedding. Especially Renate (Barbara Nielsen), who has also just been bitterly disappointed, has captured Hanne’s heart in no time. And these are not the only surprises that await Hannes in the Black Forest.
Filming for “Schwarzwaldfahrt aus Liebeskummer” took place in October and November 1973 in the Upper Black Forest, in Todtmoos, Grafenhausen and Wendlingen.
The wedding ceremony was filmed in the magnificent baroque monastery church of St. Peter on the Black Forest. German theatrical release was on March 08, 1974 in Constantin film distribution.
