Heikos Mutter Belinda leidet an Keratokonus, einer seltenen Veränderung der Hornhaut. Nach und nach verliert sie an Sehkraft und könnte bald ganz erblinden, wenn ihr nicht geholfen wird. Mit der Hornhaut eines verstorbenen Spenders ließe sich Belindas Augenlicht zurückgewinnen – doch so eine Transplantation kostet viel Geld, das die Krankenkasse nicht übernimmt. Für Heiko beginnt damit eine Odyssee durch die Berliner Kneipenwelt: Um das Geld für die Operation seiner Mutter zusammenzubekommen, stellt er sich zunächst widerwillig, dann doch mit wachsendem Ehrgeiz, Euro um Euro, den besten Dartspielern der Stadt. Die jedoch verfolgen ganz andere Pläne und ziehen Heiko damit in eine Spirale des Wahnsinns, die er sich vorher nicht hätte ausmalen können.

Heiko’s mother Belinda suffers from keratoconus, a rare condition of the cornea. She is gradually losing her sight and could soon go completely blind if she is not given treatment. Belinda’s eyesight could be restored with the cornea of a deceased donor – but such a transplant costs a lot of money, and the health insurance does not cover it. For Heiko, this is the beginning of an odyssey through the Berlin pub world: in order to raise the money for his mother’s operation, he faces the best dart players in town, at first reluctantly, but then with growing ambition, euro by euro. They, however, pursue completely different plans and thus draw Heiko into a spiral of madness that he could not have imagined before.
