With “Slave 2 The Rhythm”, a piece of classic hard trance history returns to Noom Records. The release combines the original by Dark A.T.8 from 1995 with a new interpretation by Audioklinik & Techflex, thereby building a direct bridge between the signature Noom sound of the ’90s and modern peak-time techno.
The “Stakkato Mix” by Dark A.T.8 takes us back to the heyday of German hard trance. Distinctive, sharply defined staccato synths, driving acid elements, and a fast, uncompromising rhythm section define the track. It was precisely this combination of energy, hypnotic repetition, and a powerful forward momentum that was one of the defining characteristics of the early Noom Records catalog and made numerous releases from the label integral parts of the rave and club culture of that era.
🎵 Tracklist:
With “Slave 2 The Rhythm”, the past and present of Noom Records collide head-on. The original track captures the uncompromising hard-trance sound of 1995, while Audioklinik & Techflex demonstrate how that energy can work within a contemporary techno context more than 30 years later. It’s a release that honors the label’s roots while looking toward the future.
