‘Behind Us All’, the second studio album by Finnish doom metal band Grain of Pain, was released in March via Noble Demon. To mark the release, the band has now also released an animated lyric video for the track ‘If Morning Never Comes’ (feat. Kirsten Jørgensen),
With ‘Behind Us All’, Grain of Pain take their characteristic blend of doom and death metal to new emotional depths. The album combines massive heaviness with intense melody and a dark, immersive atmosphere and presents a powerful, mature sound that lingers long after the last note has been played.
The band from Finland is led by Timo Solonen, who is responsible for songwriting, guitar and vocals. Lars Eikind(Before The Dawn) contributes bass and clean vocals, giving the sound an additional, distinctive melodic dimension that emphasises the dynamic range of the compositions even more.
The album is supported by renowned musicians: Juho Räihä (guitar, additional screams) and Juuso Raatikainen(drums), both known for their work with Swallow the Sun. ‘Behind Us All’ was produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Juho Räihä at SoundSpiral Audio, guaranteeing a consistent and powerful sound experience throughout the album.
After signing to German metal label Noble Demon in 2024 for their debut album‘The Moon Lights The Way’, Grain of Pain are now following up with their second full-length release. ‘Behind Us All’ is impressive proof of the band’s further development and offers a deeply atmospheric, emotionally charged listening experience.
