With ‘Purification ’, Roughage releases his latest EP and delivers a powerful yet atmospheric statement that combines classic trance and techno roots with a modern sound. The EP, released on the legendary German label Time Unlimited, is a tribute to the golden era of late 90s rave culture – and at the same time a contemporary piece of club music that gives power to today’s floors with analogue drive and futuristic energy.

Roughage – Andreas Kettenbach ‘s artist project – is one of the veterans of the early trance and techno scene. He released his first works on Time Unlimited back in the 1990s, significantly shaping the sound landscape of the then young electronic music scene. With ‘Purification’, Roughage not only celebrates a musical comeback, but also a piece of label history – and combines his analogue roots with a clear view of the future.
