The Austrian hit comedy “Neo Nuggets – A Pulled Pork Comedy” celebrates its big German premiere at the Mathäser Filmpalast in Munich on November 27, 2025. The main actors Paul Pizzera and Otto Jaus, director Andreas Schmied and producer Loredana Rehekampff will be present in person at the premiere evening. In Germany, the comedy will be released in cinemas by UCM.ONE‘s theatrical distribution.
This year, Pizzera & Jaus have been nominated for the Romy – one of the most important awards in Austrian film and television – as “Best Leading Actors” for their roles in“Neo Nuggets – A Pulled Pork Comedy” ( “Neo Nuggets” for short). The Romy Gala takes place the following day, November 28, in Kitzbühel, which gives the premiere additional topicality and relevance.
Synopsis
“Neo Nuggets – A Pulled Pork Comedy” tells the story of the dissimilar brothers Flo and Eddi, who unexpectedly get caught up in a fast-paced adventure. A supposedly harmless family affair escalates when their sister, who was thought to be dead, suddenly reappears. The two are drawn into a wild spiral of espionage, treasure hunting and old family secrets – deep into the mysterious legends surrounding Lake Toplitz.
As a sequel to the cinema hit ‘Pulled Pork’ (2023), the film brings the successful Austrian duo Pizzera & Jaus back to the big screen together. In their roles as institutionalised brothers, they combine slapstick, emotion and suspense to create an energetic mix. The film delivers action, humour and Austrian wit – a modern spy comedy with heart and anarchic wit.
The high-calibre ensemble around Paul Pizzera and Otto Jaus is rounded off by Benno Fürmann, Gizem Emre, Silvia Schneider and Melissa Naschenweng. Together they bring pace and emotion to the screen and add pointed dialogue and a pinch of romance to the humorous spy story.
At the premiere in Munich, the film’s producer, Loredana Rehekampff, will be available for background discussions on the production, the collaboration with Pizzera & Jaus and the Austrian film market.
The German premiere is also being supported by LeBurger Munich: In line with the Austrian cinema launch campaign, the restaurant will be serving the specially created ‘Licence to Grill ’ promotional burger around the time of the premiere and prominently showcasing the film with accompanying POS measures. In this way,‘Neo Nuggets’ can also be experienced as a culinary experience in Munich.
