The second album of the Death- and Gothic Doom Metal icon “Dawn of Solace” by Tuomas Saukkonen will be released with a fitting debut on Noble Demon, a label newly founded by Nuclear Blast veteran Patrick Walch and UCM.ONE. The album takes us into soundscapes of Melodic Metal, takes us into a world of deepest melancholy, and dresses us in the finest death and heaviest doom anthems. With singer Mikko Heikkilä (Kaunis Kuolematon) a captivating and majestic prog- and melodic doom affair was created, which will make glorious waves! Already after one week the YouTube video for the track “Lead Wings” had over 100.000 viewers!
The debut album “The Darkness” was released in May 2006 with BTD singer Lars Eikind and Jukka Salovaara (guest vocals and solo guitar). Then it took 13 years to come up with an idea for a song that would ignite the flame to bring Dawn Of Solace back from over a decade of silence. After the creative process was reopened, the writing process for the album quickly got underway and most of the music was composed during the final recordings as a fairly free flow of thought rather than as the result of a carefully planned and long planned pre-production. The new album “Waves” proves to be an honest picture of the current times: grey, heavy and dark, but still sad, but also with a certain beauty and strength.
Just in time for the start of the album “Waves” by “Dawn of Solace” the new music video for the album title “Hiding” can be seen on the YouTube channel of Noble Demon.
