Chicago, Illinois based metallers Repentance will perform at the Majestic Theater in Detroit, Michigan on August 19 and at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago, Illinois on August 20 as direct support for Swedish metallers Orbit Culture.

To get their fans in the mood for the upcoming dates, the band released a brand new lyric video for the album track “Light It Up” today. The video was edited by Andrea Mantelli.

Singer Adam Gilley says of the song: “Light It Up” is a great live song with all the elements you need to make it a real banger. It’s about the dismantling of a corrupt kingdom that is imploding from within. It exposes the truths that lie behind closed doors and gives a voice back to the people.”

Repentance are promoting their second album “The Process Of Human Demise”, which was released last September via Noble Demon. “The Process Of HumanDemise” features 12 brand new tracks that show Repentance in their strongest form yet – with guest contributions from Trivium‘s Corey Beaulieu and Fear Factory’s Milo Silvestro, the band’s new album is a relentless and intense maelstrom that will sweep you away and an album not to be missed!

The LP “combines aggressive riffs, powerful vocals and thought-provoking lyrics to create a captivating musical journey through the depths of human emotion and the struggles of existence.” Produced by Alex Lackner at Accelerated Sound(with mix/mastering by Chris Collier at CMC21 Productions), the album’s pristine production quality perfectly captures the band’s raw energy and intensity.

Repentance were founded in 2018 by former Soil and Dirge Within guitarist Shaun Glass and released their critically acclaimed debut album “God For A Day” in 2020, followed by the EP “Volume I – Reborn” (2021).
