Being awarded with the German Acting Prize 2016 for Best Actor in a leading role in the drama “Herbert” (2015), Peter Kurth is one of the most interesting characters in contemporary German movies. Also his part in “Schmitke”, where he plays an elderly engineer who is sent to fix an old wind turbine in Czechia and experiences some strange goings-on there, was celebrated by both the critics and the audience.
