Stephan Straka aka sikøra was born in 1968 near Frankfurt/Main and was already captivated by any kind of music from childhood and showed himself to be extremely experimental between Hammond organ, classical orchestral drums and post-punk-bass.
This is certainly reflected in his third album, which is now being released on Harthouse. “New Electronic Folk and the Floor” is certainly not a typical dance album, but rather a sound mine from which a lot of inspiration and sound nuggets for new tracks can be dug. 19 tracks offer plenty of raw material for dancefloor fodder.
