Der englische Anthropologe Saxton befindet sich zu Forschungszwecken in der Mandschurei. Dabei entdeckt er ein menschenähnliches Wesen, das er sogleich nach Hause bringen will, um es näher zu untersuchen. Mit dem Transsibirien-Express begibt er sich auf die Reise, doch unterwegs muss er erkennen, dass das Wesen doch nicht tot ist. Und dann entpuppt es sich auch noch als Körperwechsler. Die Zugreise wird für die Passagiere zu einem Kampf um Leben und Tod.

The English anthropologist Saxton is in Manchuria for research purposes. While there, he discovers a human-like creature, which he immediately wants to bring home to examine more closely. He sets off on his journey on the Trans-Siberian Express, but on the way he discovers that the creature is not dead after all. And then it also turns out to be a body changer. The train journey becomes a fight for life and death for the passengers.
