With the film “Live or let Die” by Manuel Urbaneck, UCM.ONE is releasing a terrific zombie horror film on the film label “M-Square Pictures” in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, which has already been shown at many film festivals (including HEX Film Festival 2020, Anatomy: Crime-Horror International Festival 2020, Unrestricted View Horror Film Festival 2020, Terror in the Bay Filmfest 2020, Horror Show Fest 2020, Cine Maniacs Filmfest 2020 and IndieNuts Awards 2021) has found its fans.
Jan Bohlenschmidt took over the main role of the film, who with his expressive way of acting plays a key role in giving this zombie film a very special touch of its own.
Synopsis
An outbreak of an unknown virus has nearly wiped out humanity. Undead roam the land and hunt the living. The few survivors wander aimlessly in search of a better tomorrow. Surviving loner Nick finds a map in an old diary, his last hope for a safe haven. After a bloody confrontation with the daredevil John, the two finally get together and from then on travel as a pair through a dead and destroyed land.
Day after day, they fight a hard battle for their own survival. When the two encounter a group of brutal thieves and murderers, things really start to get out of control.
The two soon realise one thing – among all the dead, the survivors are becoming the bigger threat…
The film director, screenwriter, actor and special effects artist Manuel Urbaneck was born in Heidelberg in 1985. He made his first short film “Live or Let Die” (33 min) in 2014, it was screened at various small festivals and he not only acted as director, but also as make-up artist, cinematographer and producer. The film became a part of the horror anthology “Stories of the Dead – The Farm” in 2019.
