The British alternative metal band Neonfly returned to the Karmøygeddon Festival in Norway in May 2026 – two years after their first appearance on the festival’s second stage. Thanks to the fantastic response to their show back then, they were invited to play on the main stage this time round.

The new live video for ‘More Than a Lifetime’, filmed during this performance, celebrates this special connection whilst breathing new life into a track from their latest album, ‘The Future, Tonight’. The song was never released as a single, but gradually became a fan favourite as the band began to include it in their live set, where its orchestral power-ballad sound provides a welcome change of pace from the harder and faster material. Norway has welcomed Neonfly with remarkable warmth – even within the rather extreme metal-oriented scene of Karmøygeddon.

The band therefore felt that releasing this live performance was a fitting way to give something back to the fans who had made them feel so welcome.

Guitarist Frederick Thunder says: “Karmøygeddon has quickly become one of my favourite festivals to play at, and that’s mainly down to the people behind it. They’ve built up a really loyal fanbase that comes back year after year, and the whole event is characterised by a truly brilliant atmosphere. What I particularly appreciate is the way they look after the bands. No matter where you’re placed in the line-up, you’re treated with respect, well looked after and paid fairly. You don’t necessarily find that even at much bigger festivals, and I think many others could learn a thing or two from the way Karmøygeddon does things. We’ve felt incredibly welcome – from our first gig on the second stage in 2024 right through to being invited onto the main stage this year. We’re really grateful for the support, and I’m delighted that we’ve been able to capture a bit of that experience with this live video. Long live Karmøygeddon – we’re always happy to come back!”

The latest album by Neonfly, ‘The Future, Tonight’, was released in 2021 by Noble Demon and is available to listen to on all the major music streaming platforms.
