Animated series based on the long-running Action Man toy line, produced by DIC and Bohbot for syndication in 1995. Action Man is the field leader of an elite international task force, the Action Team, but a confrontation in Switzerland has robbed him of his memory, so every mission is also a search for his own past. His opponent is Dr. X, a brilliant and merciless strategist who commands the fanatical Skullmen and pursues nothing less than world domination. Alongside Action Man fight the technically gifted Natalie and the rough but loyal Knuck, who follow the villain’s trail from high-tech laboratories to remote danger zones. The 26 episodes mix extreme-sports action, science-fiction gadgetry and globe-spanning chases. Behind the spectacle runs the quieter question of who Action Man was before he lost his memory.
