With “Replacement Dreams”, Der Dritte Raum presents a new album that delves deep into the world of hypnotic techno grooves, spacey synthesizer journeys, and playful sequences. Released on the legendary label Harthouse, it combines analog warmth with futuristic precision, unfolding an extraordinary musical interpretation of electronic dance music. With a keen sense of atmosphere and structure, Der Dritte Raum explores the boundaries between the subconscious, dream logic, and body-oriented rhythms on this work. The result is a fascinating sound universe that unfolds its effect both on the dance floor and when listened to intently.
Vocals are completely absent from the album – instead, driving sequences, clear edges, and concentrated electronic energy dominate. With relentless consistency, Der Dritte Raum guides us through hypnotic patterns, detailed drum programming, and the characteristic warmth of analog synthesizers. The result is an uncompromising techno statement, created for the dark, intense hours of the night and for sets that push boundaries.
Replacement Dreams is both imaginative and uncompromisingly club-ready. The album tells a story of movement, introspection, and sonic transformation. Minimalist in form but rich in texture, it blends precisely structured rhythms with dreamlike, abstract soundscapes.

Andreas Krüger started Der Dritte Raum as a techno project over three decades ago. In the early 90s, he handed Sven Väth a demo tape at a party. Through Väth’s label Harthouse, he landed a deal with the major label Virgin Records, which brought him into the English singles charts in the late 90s with his techno classic “Hale Bopp.” Stylistically, Der Dritte Raum has changed over time, but without losing its distinctiveness. His unique live approach and modular aesthetic have earned him a worldwide fan base in both underground clubs and electronic music festivals.
