On Saturday, November 2, 2024, “Heiko’s World” (original title: “Heikos Welt”) will celebrate its North American premiere in New York City! The Berlin-Weddinger Kneipenkomödie by Dominik Galiza, released on the Berlin film label “Darling Berlin”, follows the whimsical anti-hero Heiko, whose unwavering devotion to the game of darts leads him on an unusual path to help his ailing mother. “Heiko’s World” already ran successfully in German cinemas in 2022 and reached more than 25,000 moviegoers.
The sequel, “Rock’n’Roll Ringo”, also starring Martin “Heiko” Rohde, has been in German cinemas since September 2024.
The screening in New York will take place at Spectacle Cinema in Brooklyn, NY – a collectively run movie theater founded in 2010 and operated by a community of dedicated film lovers. “Heiko’s World” will be screened four times at Spectacle in November.
