Leises Drama um eine georgische Haushälterin in Griechenland, die von ihren unter der Wirtschaftskrise leidenden Arbeitgebern entlassen wird.

Die aus Georgien stammende Nadja hat es gut getroffen: Sie arbeitet als Haushälterin bei einem wohlhabenden Paar in Griechenland und dessen Tochter. Eines Tages wird bei ihr jedoch eine schwere Erkrankung festgestellt, die Nadja aus der Bahn zu werfen droht. Als ihr dann auch noch gekündigt wird, da der Hausherr durch die Wirtschaftskrise in finanzielle Bedrängnis gerät, ist die Misere komplett. Doch sie lässt sich nichts anmerken und nimmt die Kündigung stillschweigend hin – denn viel wichtiger als ihre Anstellung ist ihr das emotionale Verhältnis zu der Familie.

Georgian-born Nadja has done well: she works as a housekeeper for a wealthy couple in Greece and his daughter.
