Dawn of Solace, the musical solo project of Tuomas Saukkonen (Wolfheart, Before the Dawn), has set the course for their highly anticipated new studio album, ‘Affliction Vortex’, which will be released via Noble Demon.
2019 marked a fresh start when all obstacles for the band’s continuation were finally overcome and a new alliance with Noble Demon was forged. This partnership was one of the main driving forces behind bringing Dawn of Solace back onto the international melancholic metal scene, including two full-length albums (‘Waves’ 2020, ‘Flames of Perdition’ 2022) and an unplugged EP, until the band went into the studio in early 2024 to produce their most diverse album to date. The resulting work, ‘Affliction Vortex’, embodies Nordic melancholy and unadulterated Finnish darkness and will be released on 14 February 2025!
