Meet King Satan: industrial metal heretics, who were born at the end of 2015 from the heart of the Finnish underground music scene. They present a cross-genre extreme metal circus that fuses electro-industrial, symphonic black metal and death metal elements with the raw energy of rock ‘n’ roll, emerging somewhere between shameless shock rock and chaotic avant-garde theatre.
Founded in late 2015, this genre-fluid group is the brainchild of enigmatic artist Mr. King Aleister Satan (Henget, Saturnian Mist), which has evolved from its electro-aggrotech origins into a full-throttle industrial metal band over the years. The act’s vision of extreme metal brings forth an anarchistic blend of carnivalesque artistry, absurdist dark comedy, occult intrigue, and in-depth philosophical ponderings, served in an intoxicating blend of rocking dance beats, thought-provoking lyrics, mesmerizing melodies, and addictive hooks the band themselves have titled as ‘death metal disco’.
A fusion fit for both dance floors and mosh pits. With all these elements, the band defies conventions and embraces controversy the way which should not really make much sense on paper – and yet, it has consistently helped to create more and more buzz for the band wherever they go.
But King Satan is more than just a mere musical entity; known for their infectious charisma and captivating performances, it is a live experience that electrifies stages and captivates audiences. With a reputation cemented by three full-length albums and viral chart-topping singles in Finland and Germany, they have graced renowned festivals such as Tuska Festival, Nummirock Metal Festival and Dark Malta Festival.
The group has also toured in several European countries, headlining their own shows and supporting celebrated acts such as Gothminister, Deathstars, Battle Beast, Hocico, Nachtmahr and Turmion Kätilöt.
After the previous albums ‘King Fucking Satan’ (2017), ‘I Want You to Worship Satan’ (2019) and ‘Occult Spiritual Anarchy’ (2022), the fourth album of the band entitled ‘The Devil’s Evangelion’ will be released on 8 November 2024 by the German record label Noble Demon and will be released worldwide. It will be introduced again with single releases and music videos, in line with the motto of their steadily growing fan base: Chaos is the law!
‘The Devil’s Gospel and the Law of Chaos’ is a compilation of all the lyrics written by the bandleader, singer and multi-instrumentalist Seth Aleister de King Satan for the Finnish industrial metal band King Satan between 2015 and 2024.
This opus is accompanied by selected texts and related interview excerpts from his longest volume, Saturnian Mist (est. 2006), to provide a holistic view of the unorthodox and trickster-like vision of artist’s unorthodox and trickster-like vision of Satanism, occultism, mysticism and spiritual anarchy, revealed through a carnivalesque blend of rock lyrics, esoteric poetry and prosaic pathos. ‘The Devil’s Gospel and the Law of Chaos’ contains the complete texts of the following King Satan albums: “The Devil’s Evangelion” (2024), “Occult Spiritual Anarchy” (2022), “I Want You to Worship Satan” (2019) and “King Fucking Satan” (2017), along with selected texts from Saturnian Mist and various interview excerpts.
The author of the text, Seth Aleister de King Satan (aka King Aleister Satan, aka Fra. Zetekh), is a Finnish multi-media artist, musician, producer and music video director, best known for his work with the metal bands King Satan (2015–) and Saturnian Mist (2006–2024).
An outspoken occultist, symbolist and social provocateur, he has interwoven esoteric, philosophical, mythological and psychological themes into his artwork, which is filled with aspects of the devil archetype and chaos spirituality.
