Some comments from the press about „Kaptn Oskar“:

“With images of touching poetry and tenderness, there are not more than a few love scenes in German cinema that can compete with this little gem.” (3sat (German Culture TV)

“Reminds one of the American Mumblecore movement or the reluctant French cinema of the 1960s.” (Josef Lommer, film critic)

“I consider “Kaptn Oskar“ the most exciting movie since Dominik Graf’s „In Face of a Crime“. (Klaus Lemke, German cult director)

“So tender, ambivalent and fragile, as only real life can be. A must-see! In German cinema, „Kaptn Oskar“ is without equal.” (Kulturnews)
