Tom Lass‘s film “Blind & Ugly” (German: “Blind & Hässlich”), awarded at the German Film Critics’ Award (Best Actresses), will be released on DVD on April 20.
In the movie, Tom Lass plays Ferdi. Ferdi is ugly. And he really wants a girlfriend. That does not work, because: ugly. But one day he meets Jonah (Naomi Achternbusch) and Jonah is blind. For the first time in his life there is reason for hope. But what Ferdi does not know is that Jonah only does that. She left the house to finish her high school diploma and needed a flat. Now she lives with her cousin Cecile (Clara Schramm) in the blind dorm and plays blind. And if Ferdi finds out, he’ll probably kill himself.
