The “Festival del film Locarno” (English: “Film Festival Locarno”) – this year from 1 to 11 August 2018 – is the 71st edition of the well-known international film festival, which has been taking place since 1946 in the city of Locarno in Switzerland The main feature of the festival is the open-air stage on the “Piazza Grande” with space for over 8,000 spectators and one of the largest open-air systems in the world (26 × 14 meters). The festival in Locarno is known worldwide as a festival of discovery. The main prize of the festival is the “Golden Leopard”, which is awarded the best film of the international competition.
UCM.ONE will be on site from the 2nd to the 6th of August to discover new films and meet existing and new potential partners. The film labels Darling Berlin and Artkeim² are also represented at the “Festival del film Locarno” on several panels and meetings of the film industry.
