The AVoD (advertised video-on-demand) distribution model, which forms the basis of distribution at CiNENET, is the fourth common form of digital film distribution alongside DTO (download-to-own), TVoD (transactional video-on-demand), and SVoD (subscription video-on-demand). Revenue is generated by advertisements displayed alongside the films. The AVoD market has been growing steadily for years, as consumers can watch films supposedly “for free” (as with commercial TV stations), but in reality pay with their time by watching advertisements.
