Finnish progressive metal band The Hypothesis will release their new album, ‘Evolve’, on October 18 through the German Noble Demon label. The band has just released the second single, ‘Here I Stand’, which also has an official music video.
‘‘Here I Stand’ tells the story of a ruler who, despite warnings, builds an empire only to see it collapse under the weight of his own greed and selfishness,’ the band reveals. ‘As his empire crumbles, he is confronted with the consequences of his actions, surrounded by destruction and plagued by unending torment. In the end, he stands alone, confronted with the inevitability of his own demise and the eternal suffering that will follow.”
The Hypothesis are from Kouvola in Finland. Formed in 2009, the melodic metal band was born out of a desire to break free from genre constraints and to develop with each musical project. With former members now playing in renowned bands such as Opeth and Stratovarius, The Hypothesis is a powerhouse quartet with a relentless pursuit of musical perfection.
After their debut album ‘Origin’ in 2016 and successful single releases in 2018, The Hypothesis signed with Noble Demon in 2024, marking an important milestone in their musical journey. With the album ‘Evolve’, which is about to be released, fans of bands like Gojira, Textures and Tesseract can look forward to a captivating listening experience that pushes the boundaries of progressive metal.
‘Evolve’ will be released on October 18, 2024 through Noble Demon and is available to pre-order from today.
