With his second release on the legendary deep house label Plastic City, Leandro Silva once again demonstrates his keen sense of rhythm, atmosphere and emotional depth. The ‘Shades EP’ is a sonically multi-layered homage to his musical roots – embedded in a modern, hypnotic deep house guise.
Born in Angola during a period of cultural change, Leandro was moulded by a variety of influences: Caribbean merengue, zouk, salsa and traditional African rhythms such as kizomba, samba and rebita. Despite limited resources, his environment was rich in creativity, sound and expression – a foundation that is still reflected in his music today.
On the ‘Shades EP ’, Leandro Silva combines this cultural depth with contemporary electronics and creates two elegant tracks that radiate warmth, groove and substance. Music to immerse yourself in – whether on the dancefloor or in a quiet moment.

1️⃣ Shades: A flowing, deep groove forms the centre of this track. Surrounded by warm chords and subtle melodic changes, Shades unfolds slowly and meditatively – ideal for late sets or introspective moments. Gentle, haunting and emotionally grounded.
2️⃣ Pilar: With a slightly stronger rhythmic character, Pilar combines organic percussion, deep basslines and sensitive harmonies. The track interweaves Leandro’s African and Latin American roots with a modern deep house aesthetic. Restrained, elegant and full of energy.
