The term “false flag” is an intelligence, political, and military term that originated in the maritime industry. It refers to deceptive maneuvers and covert operations ostensibly conducted to conceal the identity and intentions of the true author.
Cologne-based producer team Flanger Curtis, consisting of Cris Lux and Peter Novaz, sail under the flag of indietronic, electro-pop and dark dub elements combining electronic sounds and beats with classical instruments and vocals on their debut EP “False Flag” on Mole Listening Pearls.
The whole thing is inspired by bands like New Order, Kraftwerk and Boards of Canada.
