Finnish melodic death metal band Voidfallen has released their new single ‘Branding of Souls’. The powerful track once again showcases the characteristic interplay of aggression and melody for which the band is known. The song is taken from their upcoming album ‘The Rituals of Resilience’, which will be released on 24 January 2025 via Noble Demon. ‘Branding of Souls’ will be released together with a new music video.
‘This song represents a darker and more aggressive side of Voidfallen: Relentless beats, eerie choirs and harsh vocals set the soundtrack for the message of the song,’ the band comments. “Branding of Souls can mean something different to everyone. For some it might be spiritual, for others it might be political. However, the core message remains the same: fight and resist the evil and draconian oppression that is being forced upon you.”
Originally conceived as a two-man project in 2019 by guitarists Tommi Kangaskort and Henri Vuorenmaa, Voidfallenhas grown into a formidable force, expanding their line-up with talented musicians to bring their powerful compositions to life on stage. Their 2021 debut album, ‘The Atlas of Spiritual Apocalypse’, showcased the band’s ability to seamlessly blend aggression and melody, and with their upcoming album, ‘The Rituals of Resilience’, Voidfallen are poised to push their sound to new heights.
