The 18th edition of the achtung berlin film festival, the most important showcase of young German film from Berlin-Brandenburg, will take place this year from April 20 – 27, 2022 under the direction of Regina Kräh and Sebastian Bose, moving back to its traditional place in the spring after two corona-related late summer editions. This year’s festival is once again designed as a presence event, including a ceremonial opening, the official festival party, the festival brunch and the award ceremony as well as numerous film discussions.
The achtung berlin Film Festival opens with the political and entertaining reenactment documentary “Als Susan Sontag im Publikum saß” (English: “When Susan Sontag sat in the audience“) by RP Kahl, who also wrote the book together with Saralisa Volm.
