The film, with a great cast including Sarah Mahita and Béla Gabor Lenz in the leading roles, convinced the jury with its special courage in dealing with an often taboo subject.
From the jury’s statement:
The convincing screenplay creates a continuous build-up of tension. The intense acting of all actors and actresses, but especially of the two young protagonists, gets under the skin, it is authentic, moving and shows a very deep examination of the topics of self-harm, mental suffering and suicidal thoughts. In its relevance, this feature-length debut addresses both a young and an adult audience.”
