Am Vormittag des 20. Juli 1944 fährt Graf von Stauffenberg, Chef des Stabes des Ersatzheeres in Berlin, in Begleitung zweier seiner Offiziere vom Flugplatz Rastenburg zur Wolfsschanze. Dort befindet sich das Hauptquartier Adolf Hitlers in Ostpreußen. Stauffenberg hat einen Termin beim Führer, plant diesen aber für ein Attentat zu nützen. Hitler soll durch ein Bombenattentat sterben.

On the morning of July 20, 1944, Count von Stauffenberg, Chief of Staff of the Reserve Army in Berlin, accompanied by two of his officers, drives from Rastenburg airfield to the Wolf’s Lair. This is the location of Adolf Hitler’s headquarters in East Prussia. Stauffenberg has an appointment with the Führer, but plans to use it to carry out an assassination attempt. Hitler is to be killed in a bomb attack.
