[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As of today, the documentary “Barricade<\/strong>” by award-winning Cologne-based photographer and filmmaker David Klammer<\/strong>, distributed by UCM.ONE<\/strong><\/span> on the NONFY Documentaries<\/span><\/strong><\/span> label, can be seen in cinemas nationwide.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”3\/5″][vc_column_text]The coal company RWE<\/strong> is currently in the process of finally demolishing L\u00fctzerath<\/strong> despite the coal phase-out and massively expanding the Garzweiler<\/strong> open-cast mine. In recent weeks, climate activists, but also tens of thousands of citizens, have been the focus of attention with their protests and actions.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
\nDavid Klammer<\/strong> has been accompanying the protests of climate activists with his pictures for years. In 2020, when the A49 motorway in Hesse was to be cut directly through a living forest, David Klammer<\/strong> documented the protests against the clearing of the Dannenr\u00f6der Forest with his film camera.
\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]David Klammer<\/strong> lived for weeks with the activists in their tree houses and was thus able to create an impressive emotional closeness to the events with his images. With poetic images, the film delves deeply and trustingly into the motivations, fears and hopes of the activists, but also shows the massive police intervention up close.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]A scenario that could determine everyday life in Germany in the next few years.
