[vc_row][vc_column][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”3\/4″][vc_column_text]On March 18, 2022, UCM.ONE<\/strong><\/span> will publish the 1st edition of Edition Cinefest<\/strong> in collaboration with CineGraph<\/strong> from Hamburg<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The film chosen by the curatorial team is “What would happen, if…?<\/strong>” (German original title: “Was w\u00e4re, wenn… ?<\/strong>“), a DEFA<\/strong> film from 1960. Gerhard Klingenberg<\/strong> directed this comedy, which features Manfred Krug<\/strong> in one of his first roles, and the screenplay is based on the play of the same name by Hedda Zinner<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]That’s what it’s about:<\/span><\/p>\n

In Willshagen, a village on the GDR side of the inner-German border, rumour has it that the border is to be straightened. When a Western limousine appears in front of the empty castle, it is rumoured that the old count will return. While some polish everything up in joyful anticipation, others organise resistance.<\/p>\n
