The vinyl \u201cThe First Voyage E. P<\/strong>.\u201d, with \u201cBycance<\/strong>\u201d in the original mix on the A side, was first released in 1994 as VooDoo 002-6<\/em><\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”3\/4″][vc_column_text]After more than a quarter of a century, the pirate ship has reappeared and has lost none of its power. Now VooDoo Records<\/strong> is finally releasing the original, \u201cPyrate – The First Voyage E. P<\/strong>\u201d. with the three tracks \u201cBycance<\/strong>\u201d, \u201cMythos 5<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cThe Voodoo Ryde<\/strong>\u201d into digital channels.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

\u201cBycance<\/strong>\u201d \u2013 with the characteristic German vocal sample \u201eEs ist die reine Wahrheit\u201c<\/em> (English translation: \u201cIt\u2019s the pure truth\u201d<\/em>) \u2013 was represented in the DJ charts all over Europe and was thus part of the soundtrack on Mayday<\/strong>, Love Parade<\/strong> & Co. The track was used in TV productions such as ARD<\/strong> documentaries and TV trailers and is one of the unofficial anthems of some European clubs in the Techno History.<\/div>\n

After the Original E. P. several releases followed with successful remixes. The track was licensed to over 25 major compilations, including \u201cTrance Nation<\/strong>\u201d, \u201cRave Now<\/strong>\u201d, \u201cTrancemaster<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cNature One – Best Of 20 Years<\/strong>\u201d \u2013 and was then reproduced in six-digit volumes on CDs.\u00a0On YouTube<\/strong>, \u201cBycance<\/strong>\u201d, distributed on various uploads, has so far brought it to over 750,000 views. Despite all this, the track has never lost its underground feeling.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The two have known each other since the early 90s, when Malte was a regular guest at Nico\u2019s Underground Vinyl Store \u201cMagic Records<\/strong>\u201d.\u00a0Nico appeared at the Love Parade<\/strong> Berlin, Street Parade<\/strong>, Nature One<\/strong> and SMS<\/strong> at the turntables, as well as in many national and international clubs. As a producer, he can look back on countless releases, especially \u201cRobotnico<\/strong>\u00a0– Backtired<\/strong>\u201d with over 80,000 units sold and a direct entry into the official sales charts. With his projects \u201cGatorades<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cHouspimps<\/strong>\u201d he shaped the Rhein-Main techno sound of the early 90s, with \u201cMosquito Headz<\/strong>\u201d he placed a successful act on Superstar Recordings<\/strong>. Nico was a welcome guest in the media from BRAVO<\/strong> to GIGA TV<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Malte\u2019s discography shines with projects such as Velvet Cycle<\/strong> on Illuminate Records<\/strong> (Drizzly Records<\/strong>), Massai<\/strong> (sublabel of 23 Records Frankfurt<\/strong>), Microcut<\/strong> \u201cMirage<\/strong>\u201d as well as \u201cPhorum<\/strong>\u201d, another successful VooDoo Records<\/strong>\u00a0act and a large number of licenses for\u00a0compilations. He has also composed soundscapes for art installations and has recently been involved in the development of audiologos for companies as well as soundtracks for TV commercials.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
