In <strong>Bloody Nose, Empty Pockets<\/strong>, the Ross brothers tell the story of the last day of a Las Vegas bar that has fallen victim to gentrification, blending documentary and fictional storytelling to create an impressive, compelling portrait of a community of people on the margins of society.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Synopsis:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In the shadow of the bright lights of Las Vegas, the last round has come for a much-loved dive, the Roaring 20s, home and family substitute for a motley crew of regulars who find distraction from their rough everyday lives here. This is the basic idea of <strong>Bloody Nose, Empty Pockets<\/strong>, a film in which reality is as unreal as the world the regulars escape. It is a mosaic of very different life stories and tells of the last hours of a pub in which we meet people who grapple with the past while facing an uncertain future and who sing loudly while their ship goes down.<\/p>\n<p>Filmmaking duo <strong>Bill<\/strong> and T<strong>urner Ross<\/strong> paint a portrait of a tiny world before the sinking, but one that still provides warmth and comfort to its inhabitants.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The filmmakers&#8217; unusual and compelling approach to non-fictional storytelling makes for a foggy memory of events lost in empty shot glasses and
