The current corona pandemic and the music industry, which has always been constantly changing, has stimulated you to reinvent yourself, which then developed in new creativity and in the foundation of a new project, which is now the exciting album “Miami Wives<\/strong>” released on the label Mole Listening Pearls<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1608340212440{margin-top: -15px !important;}”][vc_column width=”3\/4″][vc_column_text]The two artists describe the project “The Tubbs<\/strong>” as “a game”<\/strong>, a midlife moment experiment to reflect on their decades of work. The album “Miami Wives<\/strong>” is the fruit of this reflection on their separate and shared past.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The first two singles already released called “Give a Little, Take a Little<\/strong>” and “Too Match, Too Late<\/strong>” will be followed today by the album “Miami Wives<\/strong>“, which is available from all download and streaming portals.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]What do the son of a working class family from the suburbs of the capital and the son of a police officer who grows up in a traditional small town have in common? At first you would say: nothing. Somehow the children who were born in the seventies to the early eighties had the same experience, because they grew up with cassette decks, the boom in VHS and the magical world of American television series, which were previously almost unknown in the Eastern Bloc.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

In this seemingly isolated world, television and radio have had a huge impact on the lives of many people. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It was a similar story for Marcel<\/strong> when he first heard the evergreen “The Model<\/strong>” by Kraftwerk<\/strong> in a television commercial. Music has always been a part of their lives and in their early twenties they started immersing themselves in the world of electronic music.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1613839170190{margin-top: -15px !important;}”]<\/p>\n

Forteba<\/strong> started out with a band called Le Garage,<\/strong> while Marcel<\/strong> became a solo artist shortly after working with Bern\u00e1thy & Sons<\/strong>. They first met on stage as a performer and for the past twenty years from time to time reflecting on each other’s work, working on collaborations and remixes with and for each other, not to mention that they have both been UCM.ONE<\/strong><\/span> artists for decades: Forteba<\/strong> releases on Plastic City<\/strong>, Marcel<\/strong> on Mole Listening Pearls<\/strong>.<\/div>\n

Strangely enough, the idea of making an album together had only occurred to them a few years ago. And the collaboration gave them the space to leave their comfort zone and enter musical territories that both had yet to discover. This project is the result of long night conversations and listening to music together. Their music has been shaped by the sometimes nostalgic reflection on childhood, these complicated times we live in, and the idea that we need the same amount of humor and passion to live this life.<\/div>\n
