The Leipzig Film Art Fair is a forum\u2014unique in Europe\u2014for collaborative exchange among theater operators, distributors, and professionals from the arthouse industry. From Monday, September 14<\/strong>, through Friday, September 18, 2026<\/strong>, the Leipzig Film Art Fair will, for the 26th time, offer a platform where industry professionals can screen films well before their national release, discuss the marketing and potential of individual films, and jointly develop strategies for the future of art cinema through seminars, workshops, and panel discussions.<\/p>\n

At the heart of the fair are the film screenings for industry professionals\u2014held well before the national release\u2014at the Passage Kinos and CineStar Leipzig. Accompanying these events, seminars and workshops on current issues in the art house film market will take place at various locations throughout Leipzig. The fair\u2019s side events offer industry participants the opportunity to network and get to know one another, and in the evening, the fair opens to the public with film screenings at the Passage Kinos and the Schauburg Leipzig.<\/p>\n

The Leipzig Film Art Fair is an event organized by AG Kino \u2013 Gilde deutscher Filmkunsttheater e.V.<\/strong>, the association of art house cinemas and film art theaters in Germany. It is made possible through the support of MDM<\/strong>, FFA<\/strong>, and BKM<\/strong>; the City of Leipzig; media partner THE SPOT<\/strong>; local partners Passage Kinos<\/strong>, Schauburg Leipzig,<\/strong> and CineStar Leipzig<\/strong>; and the trusted Film Art Fair team.<\/p>\n
